FMS
The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a screening tool used to evaluate 7 fundamental movement patterns in individuals with no current pain complaint or musculoskeletal injury.¹ The screen is designed to place an individual in extreme positions where movement deficits become noticeable if appropriate stability and mobility are not used.¹
By observing and evaluating these deficits, our staff can determine inefficiencies within an athlete's movement - which, if not addressed, could lead to poor biomechanics that impact their athletic performance. The FMS process provides a reliable baseline for actionable and effective steps to improve an athlete's performance and recovery.¹
